An Alberta's Promise Agency partner and registered charity located at 8718 -- 118 avenue in the heart of the Edmonton inner-city - "Crystal Kids" serves a demographic of the disadvantaged and impoverished of all ages. Our participants are primarily at-risk youth ages 6-17, younger families with preschool aged children, the working poor with limited resources ages 18-55, immigrant families just starting out in Canada, and senior citizens on a fixed income. Our programs and facilities are accessible for the disabled. We currently have clients that access our services and volunteers that work in our centre that face a variety of mental and physical challenges ranging from the high-functioning autistic, developmentally delayed and the physically disabled. We also provide gym classes to emotionally disturbed youth that attend specialized day programming in Edmonton three days per week. Group homes that host youth with special needs bring their youth to our facility for recreation and socialization opportunities.
