 | Chapter 31 Part 2: *Kims POV* "Whats the problem?" Julie asked. "We didnt actually talk to Nick about this." Kevin said. "Do you really think he will mind?" Joe asked. "I dont know." Kevin shrugged his shoulders. "Well we can go talk to him, and you girls can get some stuff together, you know, for like overnight." Joe and Kevin left to talk to Nick and Julie and I started getting some clothes and stuff together. *Nicks POV* I was sitting on my bed, kind of bummed out. Last night after I told Ashley that I loved her, and she told me she loved me, she said she couldnt stay the night like we planned, and left. I kept thinking that I must have done something wrong. What I really needed was to talk this through, you know, to see if maybe I did do something. I picked up the phone to call Kim. She was a great listener and I could talk to her about anything really. She would always know Just what to say. Before I could actually call her, Joe and Kevin came home. "Nick? Are you home?" I heard Kevin yell. "Yeah, I'm coming." I walked out of my room and into the living room where Joe and Kevin were. They told me to sit on the couch because they wanted to tell me something. "Well, its two things, really." Joe said. Kevin rolled his eyes at Joe "Look, last night David was bailed out of jail." "WHAT?" I said. They explained to me that they wanted Kim and Julie to stay here at night so they wouldnt be alone. I liked when Julie and Kim were around, and this way they would be safe, so I didnt mind at all. "Sounds good to me." Joe and Kevin went to clean up a little for the girls, and I went to my room. I picked up the phone to call Kim about Ashley, and to see if she could help me figure her out. "Hey Nick " Kim answered the phone. "Hey. So I hear you are moving in?" She laughed a little, and for a second, I felt funny, like this weird feeling in my stomach. It was sort of like excitement. For some reason, the entire time I was talking to her, I couldnt stop smiling. "I wouldnt call it moving in, I would Just call it a really really long... sleepover?" she said it like she was almost asking me. I kept talking to her as she was packing some stuff and told her about everything that happened with Ashley. Kim suggested that I take it a little slower with Ashley and give her some time to make sure she really meant to say I love you to me. I thanked her for the help and told her I would let her finish packing. "Okay. We'll see you later. Bye Nick " Kim said, and hung up. I was smiling as I hung up the phone. I liked how Kim said my name. My stomach was giving me that weird feeling again and? WAIT. WHAT? She is in love with Joe MY BROTHER. And I am in love with Ashley, right? So what am I thinking? This cannot be good... I picked up my guitar to clear my head. It usually helped to write whatever came out, because then I could look at it and it would tell me what I was really thinking.
