Fleming 97, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2007, at Geneva Lake Manor in Lake Geneva. She was born March 21, 1909, in Chicago, Ill., where she spent her early life and received her education. On September 5, 1953, she was united in marriage to Harry Fleming He preceded her in death in November of 1973. Following marriage, they resided in Sayner Margaret had been a resident of Burlington for the past 20 years. She was an Owner and Operator of a sporting goods gift shop in Sayner and later was a Secretary for Alpine Valley. She enjoyed golfing, ballroom dancing, playing cards and Scrabble, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her step-daughter, Marilyn Lahodik; grandchildren, Todd (Teresa) Deckard Margo (Charles) Deckard-Miller, and Holly Deckard and by great-grandchildren, Veronica Deckard and Grace Miller. Margaret was cared for by her loving nephew, Jeff (Patricia) Solofra and their family. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a step-daughter, Ruth Deckard and a brother, Carl. A Memorial service will be held at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in Burlington on Thursday, March 1, 2007, at 7 p.m. with Rev. Dean Fleming officiating. Memorials to St. Johns Lutheran Evangelical Church have been suggested.
