Eric Prydz - Pjanoo

Originally released on Eric's Pryda Recordings label as a double a-side single (along with "F12"), "Pjanoo" picked up numerous plays throughout the beginning of the year, most notably at the Miami Winter Music Conference back in March. Continuing the relationship with Ministry Of Sound that had already given him a Number 1 in 2004 ("Call On Me") & a Number 2 in 2007 ("Proper Education"), Data Records signed the track for a full release. The remix package featured versions by Guy J, Afterlife, Fred Falke & another awesome remix by producer Lincoln Barrett, also known as High Contrast. The release reached Number 2 in the National Chart. "Pjanoo" was released on the Data Records label in 2008. Enjoy.

Underworld - Born Slippy (London Elektricity Mix)

Karl Hyde, Rick Smith & Darren Emerson created "Born Slippy" in 1995. On it's first release, it reached Number 52 in the National Singles Chart. On that release, there was an alternate version entitled "Born Slippy. NUXX". That version was then used in the 1996 film "Trainspotting", directed by Danny Boyle & starring Ewan McGregor, Robert Carlyle & Jonny Lee Miller. The film featured numerous dance tracks and, as the film achieved almost immediate cult status, the songs on the soundtrack started to benefit ("For What You Dream Of" by Bedrock, being one other example). Due to popular demand, the Nuxx version was scheduled for re-release as the lead version & in July 1996, the release reached Number 2 in the Singles Chart, becoming an anthem for clubbers and DJ's alike. Just over seven years (and seven further Top 40 single successes) later, Underworld announced their first greatest hits album, entitled "1992-2002". To celebrate the milestone, "Born Slippy" was scheduled for another re-release and featured remixes from Paul Oakenfold, Atomic Hooligan & this superb mix from producer Tony Colman, known as London Elektricity. The release reached Number 27 in the National Chart. "Born Slippy Nuxx (Remixes)" was released on the Junior Boys Own label in 2003. Enjoy.

Push - Universal Nation (Original Mix)

Belgian producer Dirk "M.I.K.E" Dierickx created this huge trance classic in 1998 for the Bonzai Records label. Originally called "The Real Anthem", the track was a galloping ten minute assault with an unbelieveably powerful synth driving it along. The track was signed for a full UK release the year after and reached the Top 40 twice (Number 36 in May and, with mixes by Ferry Corsten & Oliver Lieb, Number 35 in October). "Universal Nation" was released on the Inferno Records label in 1999. Enjoy.

BBE - Seven Days & One Week (Ferry Corsten Remix)

Produced by Bruno Sanchioni, Bruno Quartier & Emmanuel Top, "Seven Days & One Week" was originally released in 1996 on the Positiva Records label, reached Number 3 in the National Singles Chart & is often regarded as a trance classic. The track was remixed numerous times in the years that followed, despite never being re-released in the UK as most dance tracks in that period were. Seven years later, Positiva Records put together non-chart eligible releases of some of their biggest successes to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their first release. One of those was "Seven Days & One Week" & the release included the original mix from 1996, the Rollo & Sister Bliss, Andy Dux & Hoschi & Dex 'N' Jonesey mixes from the b-side of 1997's "Flash", the Moguai & Kai Tracid mixes from the Additive Records vinyl-only release in 1999, as well as new mixes from Tomcraft & this fantastic update from Ferry Corsten. "Seven Days & One Week (Remixes)" was released by the Positiva Records label in 2003. Enjoy.

Chris Bangs Feat. Rita Campbell - Warm Weather (Original Mix)

A well-known & respected producer during the Acid Jazz era, Chris Bangs has worked with a wide array of artists including Galliano & Paul Weller. With vocals from Rita Campbell, "Warm Weather" was a cover version of a 1981 track by jazz / soul group Pieces Of A Dream. The track was originally produced as a soul version, but was then remixed for it's first pressing on the Onion Records label. The remix was entitled the "Ibiza Beachball Remix" and was created by producers Mark Doyle (the man who founded the extremely successful Hed Kandi Records label) & Pete Martin (who is half of Coburn & Cass & Slide). It's that version that was titled the "Original Mix" for the track's official release. Remixes came from Solar Stone, Perfect Phase & Roy Malone vs T+F. Annoyingly, the release stopped one place short of entering the National Top 75 Singles Chart. "Warm Weather" was released on the INCredible Records label in 2000. Enjoy.

Dirt Devils - Music Is Life (Original Mix)

Following up their huge Top 20 trance track "The Drill", producers Jono Grant & Paavo Siljamaki (who are two of the three members in both Above & Beyond and Oceanlab) followed it up with this track. It reached Number 53 in the National Chart, falling quite short of the success of it's predecessor, but the track still remains a firm favourite with trance aficionados. "Music Is Life" was released on the Nu:Life Recordings label in 2003. Enjoy.

Moonman - Dont Be Afraid '99 (Ferry Corsten Remix)

Helping to bring trance to the forefront of dance music in 1999, Ferry Corsten's output ranged from the System F & Gouryella releases, to producing under his own name and under the Moonman alias also. Originally released in 1997, "Dont Be Afraid" was updated by the man himself for this re-release. "Don't Be Afraid '99" was released on the Heat Records label in 1999. Enjoy.

Tony De Vit - The Dawn (Original Mix)

Co-written by Paul Janes (Hyperlogic, Untidy Dubs, Lost Witness), Tony De Vit's hard dance classic first appeared on 1998's "The Trade E.P" on Trade Records. Due to popular demand, the track was given a full release two years later and included a fresh remix by Paul, but the original is the one and only. "The Dawn" was released by the Tidy Trax label in 2000. Enjoy.

Basstoy - Runnin' (Original Mix)

Producer Mark Picchiotti & vocalist Dana Stovall are behind this huge club hit. Sounding like a close relative to any of the Reel 2 Real singles, "Runnin" was big in the clubs but only reached Number 62 in the National Charts when first released. A year and a half later, the track had a full vocal added and went on to big chart success when it reached Number 13. But the original is still the best (and the full vocal version is awful). "Runnin" was released on the Neo Records label in 2000. Enjoy.

York - On The Beach (CRW Mix)

Producers Jörg Stenzel & Torsten Stenzel (who is half of DJ Sakin & Friends) created "On The Beach" in 1999, which samples the Chris Rea track of the same name from 1986. Originally signed to the Subversive Records label, the track was remixed by CRW, who are Mauro Picotto & Andrea Remondini, and another track "Reachers Of Civilization" was remixed by Rank 1. This double release was eventually moved to the Manifesto Records label, who had already released York's first UK success, "The Awakening", in 1999. The release reached Number 4 in the National Chart. "On The Beach / Reachers Of Civilization" was released on the Manifesto Records label in 2000. Enjoy.

Natural Born Grooves - Groovebird (Klubbheads Klubb Mix)

Originally created in 1995 by producers Jaco Van Rijswijk & Bert Bernhard Boon, "Groovebird" was released on their own Natural Born Grooves label. The track was then signed to the Heat Recordings label for a 1996 UK release and featured remixes by Baby Blue (Tin Tin Out producers Darren Stokes & Lindsay Edwards) & DJ Eclipse, but failed to reach the National Top 75. Later on that year, another Natural Born Grooves track "Forerunner", was signed to the XL Recordings label and reached Number 64. This led to the re-release of "Groovebird" on the brilliant Positiva Records label. Remixes came from Qattara & producers Koen Groeneveld & Addy Van Der Zwan, also known as Klubbheads. The release reached Number 21 in the National Chart. "Groovebird (Remixes)" was released on the Positiva Records label in 1997. Enjoy.
