The Java Collections Framework is indispensable to nearly every Java developer. Yet, you may often find yourself searching for a collection type, implementation, or utility that's nowhere to be found. In this session, you'll learn how the open-source Google Collections Library builds on the excellent foundation of java.util, to provide more of the building blocks you need to do your job. You'll see many examples of how your code can become simpler, safer, more flexible, and more powerful by adopting classes like ReferenceMap, Multimap, our immutable collections and many others.
Kevin Bourrillion is the lead engineer for Google's core Java libraries, more of which will be open-sourced in the future. He is a primary author of the Google Collections Library, and of Google's Java dependency injection framework, Guice. He came to Google in 2004 after seven years of fighting for life at a string of Hot Silicon Valley Start-Ups.

Earth Minbari War: The Battle of the Line
The war was provoked by an Earth Alliance task force led by Captain Michael Jankowski aboard the warship EAS (Earth Alliance Ship) Prometheus, engaged on a mission to investigate the Minbari, an alien race known to Earth only through stories from other races. Unfortunately, being fresh from their victory over the Dilgar, EarthForce Command arrogantly ignored Centauri Ambassador Londo Mollari's advice to take a cautious approach; Londo recommended that Earth send only one ship into Minbari space so as not to appear hostile. Instead, EarthForce arranged for an expedition fleet of several large warships, including the Prometheus.
During the expedition, the Prometheus and her escorts encountered three Minbari cruisers, one of which was carrying the Grey Council, the highest echelon of Minbari society. The Grey Council was en route to investigate reports of sightings of their ancient enemy, the Shadows. Although Jankowski had been given strict orders to not do anything which might be perceived as hostile, Jankowski disobeyed the orders and refused to jump to hyperspace when the Minbari spotted his fleet. He thought that by waiting to the last possible moment to jump he could gain valuable sensor information about the Minbari cruisers, and this would lead to a promotion and medals from a grateful EarthForce Command. When he finally did decide to flee, it was too late.
Upon seeing the Earth vessels, the Minbari cruisers opened their gunports as a sign of respect and strength - an old Minbari custom that the Humans were unaware of. Dukhat, leader of the Grey Council, realized the error and ordered the gunports closed - but too late. Captain Jankowski misinterpreted the gesture as a sign of hostility, an impression compounded by the fact that the powerful sensors of the Minbari cruisers accidentally disabled the Prometheus' jump engines, thus preventing the ship from jumping to hyperspace and escaping. The captain had been told by his first officer that his vessel's jump engines had malfunctioned and that the weapons on the Minbari cruisers were "hot" (active), although this was not the case - although the gun ports were indeed open, the weapons systems were not online, and EarthForce's relatively primitive technology did not allow them to scan the Minbari vessels' internal systems to realise this. Still, believing the Earth fleet was in danger of imminent attack, Jankowski panicked and opened fire on the Minbari ships, scoring a critical direct hit on the cruiser carrying the Council. Dukhat was killed and his protege Delenn, in a fit of rage, cast the deciding vote on the Council to wage a war of vengeance against Earth. However, the war of vengeance quickly turned into a holy crusade by the Minbari to exterminate humanity.
The Earth Alliance made frantic efforts to present official apologies to the Minbari through all possible diplomatic channels, and tried to obtain help (military or diplomatic) from neutral alien races such as the Centauri. However, no alien race wanted to incur the wrath of the awesome Minbari military, and so Earth was left to fight alone. Although races like the Narns were willing to do business secretly, the supplies available were insufficient for Earth military needs.

This piece is awesome. I think this is one that should be just as popular, or almost just as popular, as Zanarkand. I never knew that Zanarkand was so over-rated until youtube.
There are just a few things that I can say about this recording, on self-evaluation. But, I'll see if anybody has the same thinking as I do, on feedback.

O_O The beast of final fantasy piano collections. I've played this for youtube twice before, both without my digital audio or my new camera (I had my new camera since the eternal harvest video)
This time, I tried to play it at the tempo of the professional mp3. Seiji Honda was the man who recorded that mp3, and I respect him dearly XD
Anyway my video... The first two pages are rather choppy. Then it got better, but I sort of ruined the last page on this piece.... just like eternal harvest dammmmn

I just felt like recording it again.
Its not much different, but this one should be the better version. The mistake near the end of the first version is gone now. I've toned down the volume in the soft parts. Played with less pedal. Better audio apparently..at this cam angle. And more arpeggios. Geez..Im looking at the sheets that I bought and there arent that many arpeggios, but the two professional versions have 1 more, and other ppl play more so....maybe im reading it incorrectly wutever.

Earth Alliance Civil War Part 1/2
After the second Shadow War ended, Captain Sheridan turned his attention to overthrowing President Clark and liberating Earth and its colonies. A key turning point came when warships were ordered by Clark to lay siege to the rebellious Proxima 3 colony to keep it within the Earth Alliance. When warships loyal to Clark attacked and killed 10,000 innocent civilians trying to escape, Sheridan took his highly advanced White Star fleet to save the colony. In a brief but fierce battle, Sheridan's White Stars disabled or destroyed several Omega class destroyers; he also convinced several EarthForce destroyers to switch sides and support him during the battle. After liberating Proxima 3, Sheridan's fleet began to move towards Earth. As they traveled they steadily picked up an increasing number of EarthForce destroyers and cruisers whose crews could no longer support Clark and his fascist regime. However, many EarthForce vessels remained loyal to Clark, and as a result numerous battles took place, but in each battle Sheridan's more advanced White Star ships were able to disable or destroy the Earth warships.
In an effort to undermine Sheridan's supporters on Earth, Clark began to spread propaganda that Sheridan was under sinister alien (especially Minbari) influence. To discourage EarthForce crews from defecting to Sheridan, the crews were told that Sheridan killed all humans found aboard captured Earth ships and replaced them with Minbari crews. As Sheridan's forces neared Earth's solar system, Clark unleashed his secret weapon - a fleet of twenty Omega-Class Destroyers which had been upgraded with Shadow technology. All twenty advanced Omega destroyers were annihilated in a fierce battle by a squadron of White Stars under Commander Susan Ivanova, but most of the White Stars were either destroyed or suffered severe damage as well. Ivanova's ship was badly damaged and she was fatally injured. Sheridan was captured by EarthForce in a trap and tortured in an Earthgov facility on Mars, but was eventually rescued by the "Free Mars" rebel movement; he subsequently recovered and returned to his fleet. He then approached Mars with a massive armada of White Stars, EarthForce vessels that had defected to him, and a large number of warships from various alien governments who had joined him in a show of support. Together they disabled a fleet of Omega-Class destroyers loyal to Clark; the Omega-Class destroyers were led by General Lefcourt, a close friend of Sheridan who had served as his mentor at the EarthForce Academy. Sheridan then led his fleet to Earth itself, where Clark committed suicide rather than being taken prisoner by Earthgov personnel. Before killing himself, Clark turned the planetary defense grid towards the Earth's surface. To prevent the planet from being devastated, Sheridan's fleet - including EarthForce ships which had been fighting for Clark at Mars - destroyed the defense grid before any damage was done to the planet. Sheridan's ship was saved from destruction in the battle by General Lefcourt's destroyer which had just arrived from Mars. With Clark's death, President Susanna Luchenko of the Russian Consortium was named the new Earth Alliance President. In a prior agreement with the Free Mars movement, Sheridan convinced President Luchenko to grant Mars its independence. With Clark's downfall, martial law was ended and democracy and the Earth Alliance Constitution were restored.
I bet you weren't expecting this.
I've always thought this piece was good sounding.... so I printed the sheets one day at college. I've been playing it from time to time, and I've tried videoing this many times-- failed.
Finally, I have recorded something that I will post!
Keep in mind, this is my interpretation. I like playing it this way. You may hear a lot of differences from the piano collections... I think they play it too fast :P
Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
This would be the ending theme of FF8. It starts out as the Main Theme of Final Fantasy then it breaks off onto an FF8 expedition :P.
