Biographie de YelleYelle et sa pop-éléctro fluo sont apparues en 2006, grâce à la page myspace de la jeune chanteuse dont le véritable prénom est Julie. Son pseudo serait en réalité une contraction des termes "yeah" et "elle". Yelle s'est fait connaître en attaquant un rappeur du groupe TTC, Cuizinier, et ses paroles sexistes, sur une chanson qu'elle a elle-même composé, "Je veux te voir". En 2007, elle a sorti un single, "A cause des garçons", qui est une reprise d'un titre des années 80 ; pour ce clip elle a fait appel à des danseurs de tecktonik.
