We had a chat with Daniel at the ACLT Gift Of Life Ball 2008 and he launched the ACLT podcast. Daniel, a former Leukaemia sufferer who was diagnosed with the condition in April 1993, won his battle against Leukaemia when on 16th June 1999 at the age of 12 he received a bone marrow transplant at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Daniel was in remission but however, due to complications with his health that led to multiple organ failure he died in hospital surrounded by his family. U.K rapper and C.E.O of Frojak Entertainment, Iceberg Slimm has put together a single entitled I Have A Dream in association with Black History Month (October). All proceeds from the single will be going to (A.C.L.T) African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust and Macmillans Cancer Support. For the last four years Iceberg has been performing alongside multi platinum selling recording artist Raghav, these shows took Iceberg to dozens of countries spanning six continents including numerous trips to Africa and south east Asia, it was there that Iceberg saw the most vivid ravages of poverty and war. For over five years now Iceberg has been working with pre-teens and young adults to promote peace on the streets as part of a Choice Fm initiative. He also holds motivational talks at schools and offers guidance and advice to young offenders. Sadly at the start of the year Iceberg lost his uncle to cancer, it was then that he was motivated to do something special, inspired by Martin Luther King Iceberg wrote the track I Have A Dream which speaks on whats is going on in the world now and whats has changed since Martin first shared his dream with us.
