By popular Space Fan request, I offer this video to help answer some of your questions regarding the expanding universe. Many of you consistently ask: If the universe is expanding, then what is it expanding into?

This concept is non-trivial to try and explain in a 5 minute YT video, but I do my best. I hope this helps!

Thanks to all of you space fans for watching this channel, it means a lot to me.

@vengencefrom1979 The theory is pretty solid and quite simple to understand. What makes you say it is farce? Who come up with it doesn't have any bearing on the validity of the explanation. So go ahead genius, explain why it's farce.

first of all if the universe started as a single point during the big bang then there has to be a boundary. secondly there can be bigger infinities if you look at Cantor's. e^x as x->infinity is always bigger than log (x).

@vengencefrom1979 your an idiot, science has a virtue of being testifiable and corrcected, pysicists and cosmologists seem to be preety content with this theory so saying its a farce is ridiculous, although we would all love to hear your noble prize winning theory

the big bang is a big farce, invented by Georges Lemaître, a catholic priest. mesmerizing the youth with such nonsense is sealing their fate and herding them straight towards the stoneage.

We are just merely another part of the Universe and are called "organisms" formed "accidentally" by the the forces and contents of the universe who have developed consciousness of our space and time and how things work in our Physical Universe and so far our knowledge about our creator, " The Universe and its forces" is very limited. Imagine an atom on a desert trying to discover it's origin and boundaries all its life not knowing that beyond these miles of sand lies oceans.

@bradkey98765 Ohh. I think that makes sense. I swear, this is the most complicated, interesting thing in the world..

@bradkey98765 Yes but that 2D paper is in a 3D universe, so there must be something outside for it to exist. We have measured the curvature of space with lasers in space with a large triangle and so far the universe appears to be flat. I dont see why its so hard for the universe to be inifinite makes heaps more sense than a point that expolded into its self

@Typho0n86 For the same reason it said at 2:29, "In Einstein universe things can be curved, and if they can be curved they can be curved in on themselves" Try to imagine a 2D universe with no edges, you should find a solution. If you then start doing some physics you will also find solutions to a 3D universe with no edges.

@NotUhsaad Ok, at 2:30 it says "If things can be curved they can be curved in on themselves" -- the image shows the three possible universes, a flat universe, a hyperbolic universe (The saddle shaped one) and a spherical universe. If you could travel faster than the expantion rate and were to go in a straight line in any direction, you would never find an "edge" you would simply arrive back where you came from.

@Typho0n86 or go play with dicks, whatever suits you, just keep yourself out of these science vids, some kids are just so impressionable.

@Typho0n86 If you are going to argue about scientific stuff then at least have some background information before you make a complete jackass of yourself, So go watch a cat vid or a cartoon, what do i care ? It's just a recommendation.
