Boing Boing Video is proud to debut a second video from the forthcoming music documentary N.A.S.A. (Myspace Link), directed by Syd Garon and Sage Vaughn, who also created the art.

The track is "Way Down," and features RZA (of Wu Tang fame), vocalist Barbie Hatch, and John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers.)

If you dig the track, you can buy the entire N.A.S.A. "Spirit of Apollo" album on Amazon here. There is not one tosser in the collection, the whole project is amazing.

Full credits and tour dates in the Boing Boing blog post -- if they're coming to a town near you, you can't miss the show, really.

@lukesws Name me a half dozen decent hip hop songs with no samples (excluding the Roots) - and please, find me a DJ that can make music without using records (media) that have music recorded on them. Good for you, you know the sample. How many songs is Apache in? What about The Mexican?

First you need to grasp the meaning before you can call something shallow. This loses credability not for Nasa but for the band you did impress.

@aberk2 No problem. I'm surprised my original comment got the thumbs, so it resonates with a couple of folks anyway. This stuff isn't bad, its just so shallow. I was listening to stuff off of Niandra Lades and Empryean earlier, stuff I hadn't heard in a while - THAT's music. The NASA thing could be a Coke commercial. Up until the WU get's involved, but even then its sort of played out. If its your thing though, roll w/it; or try this on for size - /watch?v=z_lU5el8QdE OR /watch?v=z_lU5el8QdE

When it comes to songs I think that non-ridiculous lyrics are always a good thing, but this song seems to have pretty good lyrics from what I can understand of them. So what's the problem?

@omarkaya42 This is obviously music, judging from how I respond to it emotionally. Frusciante's said that music is an ineffable thing, and I somewhat agree. I can't explain what music is, but I can still recognize it through how it rocks my body right, and to me this is obviously music. What more do you want from music, than for it to be music? Real question, don't cuss me out.

@Lucas64448 frusciante samples from other artists all the time. just like his solo in dani california, he said himself that he got it from purple haze. im sure if you met him, you could call him out on it and he'd be happy to explain.

@omarkaya42 But he came in himself and did the guitars. How is this a glorified Apple Loop? If you knew anything about NASA you know that they bring in as many artists as possible to make these songs. Mark Zinner, Wu Tang, MIA. Very few "apple loops".

This song is awesome...But, replay value is cut down when you decide to interrupt a video reminding everyone they're watching a BB video.

@triphopkelly john does not matter who did the guitar and plagiarism is legitimate, he already sued along with the series''RHCP californication''because of the name, NASA deserves the same, plagiarism, plagiarism, plagiarism, period.
