    @oilhammer04 In this video we're using a Pentax K-10 DSLR with a 49mm pancake lens so it has a very small profile. It also seems like you have a great setup with your Swarovski spotting scope.

    I don't like to leave my camera body open without a lens on it. Are you using a camera body with no lens on it?  I use the Telephoto Lens System TLS 800 attached to my Canon and then attach a monopod, with a swivel head, to the quick connect shoe on the bottom of the camera body for stabilization. The Swarovski spotting scope is attached to a sturdy Induro tripod with Manfroto 393 on top of the tripod. I can get a great shot of the moon with this setup.
