NASA scientists used radar data to reconstruct surface features on Titan, Saturn's largest moon. They found that this frigid methane world has some striking similarities to places on Earth. From NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

@VanielDonovan So you are an expert on oil geology and hydrocarbon chemistry? Have you even taken a course in organic chemistry? Where there is CH4 there is C2H6, C3H8 and so on. And in any case, do you know how the methane (your so-called fossil fuel) is produced on Titan? What's your theory genius? Your last statement however belies your ignorance. First learn something about sedimentary rock and Earth's lithospheric conveyor system and then maybe we can have an intelligent conversation.

@geeleegoat What are you even talking about? Are you trying to compare the liquid methane on Titan to the oil in the Earth? Do you realize they're not remotely the same thing? Also, when they say it comes from the dinosaurs, they don't mean just dinosaurs. Any living matter basically could work, which is why you could drill to a depth pre-dinosaurs and still find oil made from whatever life was alive back then.

It makes you wonder why our so-called experts keep insisting that oil and other hydrocarbons in the earth originate from dead dinosaur fossils. Could someone explain to me where the dinosaurs are on Titan and other terrestrial bodies that are overflowing with hydrocarbon deposits? Where is the proof of the theory that methane, hexane, octane, etc., are 'fossil fuels'? The Russians mine plenty of oil far below any possible sedimentary fossil structures. How does the biotic theory explain Titan?

When looking for life on other world people forget our planet is made up from a lot of sea water. The water and every square inch of earth has some kind of life. Meaning it takes many forms of life to have a life in a planet and plenty of waters that have life.

@YogSothothOfGuitars that's becasue there's a cry back to when NASA had 13.1% of the national budget, compared to about 1% of today.

The NASA Fails. So much time, so much money and they haven´t been able to send men to mars or to other planets. Mankind will truly never be something more.

How dark would it be on Titan? It must get very little sunlight.
