There is absolutely NO DE-FLICKER FILTER used in these clips...
    shot 1 = 5:38PM to 7:38PM
    shot 2 = 6:00PM to 9:00PM
I totally messed up the pan speed (meant to go much slower so you wouldn't see the deck...) and I overcompensated with the city exposure (bout 1.5 stops high at the beginning and end). Tried again the next night going for sunset to stars... Also a test of the openmoco dolly prototype v2 (looking good!)

@obeyken What I'm doing here is bracketing each frame, then layering the exposures and crossfading from one exposure to the next. =) Love your panorama timelapse experiments!

What tools did you use to generate the movie from the stills? I notice that the moving objects have some transparency... did you do some sort of frame averaging?

Day / night transition is looking good, I am still looking for BNF file to try out exposure correction on some of my sequences.

Awesome! I guess not being able to see what you did means you did it well. :) I love to pick your brain on how you go about it. I have been watching your post for quite sometime.

I did some serious backflips to pull this off! There is a lot more here than meets the eye... it's not just manual.

I see what your saying about your video here. Its very smooth and steady, but do you think that might have something to do with the light values of the scene? Vs a scene with light values that rapidly change, such as day to night? How do you get around that with Manual mode?

"aperture priority" is they way I roll, let the camera do most of the work with even light balance from start to finish.

Thanks Erik! well you probably know many of them... Shooting manual is the the first and most important step!

actually only 10 seconds! I added a little echo to knock down the jpg noise. also creates the slight star trails!

Would have been nice if the cranes were at work...but I too really loved the night sky with stars in motion. Thanks.
