@libertarianable I think Mao Tse-Tung's "Great Leap Forward" was the best example of why communism doesn't work; 23-42 million dead from man-made famine, 2.5 million tortured & beaten, & 1-3 million suicides.

The devil is losing and at the end will be accused of all the crimes. Live at the full in the freedom of GOD (praying in a right form, following the INSTRUCTIONS in the Bible - keeping the 10 commandments - including keeping the Saturday as the 7th day etc.) instead of in the incapacity and deception of devil. Jesus Christ is the savior and hope.

@8x13Wolf Why? There is no redemtion possible with them. They died over 30 years ago. They believed in Jim Jones and communism. Not Jesus Christ. They had no hope, so there is no praying for them that does any good. If this time we are in before Jonestown, then that is a different thing altogether.

In all this game, the devil is losing and at the end will be accused of everything because GOD don't want any rivals. @RicaeAndrews I understand... But the majority of the people did not want to do it! Jim's son said in an interview that there were, at the most, five rifles in the camp. there were more than 900 people there. They should have all overthrown the small percentage of people that backed up this psychopath! I do understand they were afraid... But if my children's life was on the line I would have at least tried to rally people up! That's just me tho! This was just horrible!

@libertarianable I don't think the problem was communism (not that I support it but that's a long and entirely different story.) The problem is more the fact that Jim Jones was a maniacal drug addict who was in charge of over 900 people living in the middle of a jungle-town stocked with a ridiculously large amount of cyanide.

This just boggles my mind! I know the majority of them did not want to do it! Why didn't they all unite and fight back?! I have three children, ages 5, 4 and 2... History may be laden with violence ... but when a "holy" book insists on death for a rape victim who fails to shout out loudly enough or that a rape victim marry her rapist (and has at least two egregious examples of whoring out women) then says, "believe in this and you're saved" rather than suggest the slightest degree of self-responsibility, I have a problem, not to mention the numerous contradictions contained within its pages.
