Here's another stab at the 'holy grail'. I'm using a combination of the Little Bramper developed by Thomas Bethel and the Aperture Drive custom built by Andrew Curtis. NOTE: Absolutely no de-flicker techniques were used in this clip! IMHO this is the real deal way to flawless transitions from day to night. I can get well over 20 stops of silky smooth sliding latitude with this system!

@FigurativeSpeech The little bramper is designed to 'effect the rate of change on the fly'. This is to say you can easily adjust how fast or slow it's changing the exposure over time. I usually have the instant review on with the histogram so I can check if it's maintaining a good exposure.

looks amazing - few question for you: little bramper 'doesn't know' the correct exposure setting during the day or night, photographer needs to know it. It's easy when you start but how do you know what the correct exposure setting will be in the middle and in the end of the sequence? Guessing? Is brightness of the sky dropping from day to night in a perfectly linear curve?
