@ZFO3
Actually, that's only a theory. There are others, just as viable that postulate a possible construction of RNA and DNA in a very early ocean. One with similar properties to sulfur lakes found in Yellowstone National Park.
@ZFO3 Panspermia! I think there was a more deliberate effort (mainly), although, that does come into play too. Intelligent design. It's being tweeked all the time not unlike how you would arrrange a community reef tank. We mapped out the human genome publicly in 1995. Imagine a civilzation 100 billion years older than us. What do you think they do for science projects? Nothing new under the sun!
@altonemoore3 It's true, DNA is not a naturally forming molecule on earth.
DNA was formed somewhere in space, and dropped down to earth on a meteor.
This is the reason why many Earth-like planets are uninhabited, they may be capable of sustaining life, but weren't lucky enough for a meteor containing biological molecules to drop down on it in the short period between terraforming, and its destruction from its sun.
Quite sad really.
The rings are fine particles of dust which reflect sunlight, there would not be any darkness and the Earth orbits the Sun but the axis tilts too and then there is further precession which further changes the tilt of the planet
I BELIEVE we would have to blow up the moon to get RINGS around the planet. The bad thing is we would have died after the explosion meaning we would never see the rings
