@Twyster I'm not sure how you got "I hate Nickelback even more than the garbage Kesha puts out" from my comment, but that's certainly not what I intended to imply hahah.
My point is that nobody seems to know what good quality music is anymore, evident in the fact Nickelback is labeled as "HARD" rock. I also believe his tunes really aren't anything special, and his popularity is somewhat undeserved; that's just my personal opinion, of course. I certainly agree there are worse artists.
@TwilightMasterCK1 Well then how would you define Nickelback if not a Rock / Hard Rock band ? please tell me. I'm ashamed of how narrow minded you are. I love SRV, but i can enjoy a Nickelback song too as i enjoyed many many other musics. If you think Nickelback is what's wrong with our generation, i can't wait for you to discover lady gaga / rihanna / justin bieber and all those auto tunes clowns look alike that are really killing music ...
@a76137 Definitely man! Nobody will ever get that Stevie sound down... But even playing his stuff is a great feat.
If you all dig SRV, please check out my music on my channel! I'm a young blues/rock musician trying to make something of myself with my music. Please at least give it one listen, you may like it! And even if you don't, you'll be really helping out a young SRV obsessed musician!
@SixStringSummer13 Nickelback is apparently the most popular "hard rock" band nowadays, which is a damn-well disgraceful spit on the graves of legends like these. I'm ashamed to be a part of this generation...
I've been playing guitar for several years now, and can play a few songs by Stevie, but NONE of them can or will sound JUST like Stevie. His sound is legendary, and irreplaceable
his music talks to my soul..so smooth and cool ,just like me.well maybe bac in the day..lol.now im old and not so cool..bummer drag heavy sigh,,som1 invent a time machine so i can go bac to a time when i was cool like stevie
@wlangley88 Same thing happened to me the band RUSH went to my sisters high school in Toronto Canada we never would have guessed they were destined for stardom on such a huge scale, Alex Lifeson the guitar player lived next door to my girl friend.
SRV played a bar in Clw FL. back in the 80`s right before he started playing big venues,What a show a waitress dropped a huge tray of drinks not 5 feet from where he was standing during a solo and he didn`t flinch he just kept jamming and one other thing, I was in charge of getting the items on his rider, I got him basic stuff and some unmentionables,
Let`s just say I could of gone to jail right quick and they had their own personal chick (whore) that stayed on the bus for you know what...lol
@PolishWorkhorse I'm a "kid" and I do know what REAL music is sir. My friend introduce me to this song, and I automaticly feel in love with this song! I wish I'd live in the period of good music, I can't stand the music of my generation, only a hand full of good songs are made..
Anyways,
Cheers to good music, and Cheers to listen to a legendary Muscian such as Stevie Ray.
@HeReigns33 Most of them died at El Alamo, the rest are dead. Their heirs are at the beach in the Canary Islands (25º C, 04/Jan/2012), although some of them are living in San Bernardo (Louisiana), Juan Verde is the International Co-Chair for the reelection campaign of President Barack Obama...
