I keep expecting to hear....
"How about the my nuts to your knee attack? hmmm?"
"I am bleeding more, making me the victor!"
"We trained him wrong as a joke."
I never tire of the video.I wonder if the guys who did this are still around...:)
This was hard to watch but some of the things were good for just getting away say if your friend gets mad at you or something. My friends and I wrestle each other on the trampoline and their little sisters jump on me and dig their nails in til I bleed so next time they get on me imma do the elbow flip thingy :D Light version of course
lol so hard, i can see the choke defense working. can you imagine violently jabbing some guys adam apple? if life and death, aim for the eyes. if they come behind or choke you on the ground, you are screwed.
It's good to see that some martial arts moves come in handy for people who don't have such extensive training. I think it's rather important for everyone to have some sort of knowledge about self defense. It all goes back to kung fu and Eastern culture though. If you're into that kind of stuff you should watch Films of Fury. It is such a great way to see how the arts work in movies, bitly .com/uBGPir.
@scythe0704 ... but as well as a BJJ practitioner, I am also a self protection instructor with experience in many other forms of martial arts, including a 4th Dan black belt in Karate which is where the bullshit Jodan zuki technique comes from that I mentioned in my comment to the other guy. I have worked in the security industry for many years dealing with violent confrontation, and believe me, the stuff in this vid is more useful than some martial arts in their entirety.
@scythe0704 I don't seem to recall saying that BJJ guys always pull guard, this isn't 1993 any more, pulling guard would be a dumb thing to do in any situation, I was merely making a point to the person I was commenting to, the same point you've made here in fact, that all the positions, joint locks or chokes that BJJ is famous for won't do you the slightest bit of good if you find yourself on the floor and having your head used for football practice. I also do BJJ and it is a great art.
