@crystallinentity just a thought never know where explosives are going to evolve into. less material for bomb. could be for stealth to get right under the building to eliminates unwanted casualties and just take out a basement full of baddies. just brainstorming. inventor of the A bomb was probably laughed at too. Japan wasn't laughing.......
@FlyingDutchVideos Please re-read the comment you are replying to, lol!!!! The Government isn't going to use an inch worm to crawl underground at .001 feet per second to chase down a single solitary man! You would probably never catch him.
@crystallinentity plastics explosive can be molded into any shape. Got some free space in tht thing then you got yourself a bomb. C4 is highly explosive and just a little ball of it exploding under you. Well. Im sure you wouldn't have any feet left......
@Eniacbc yeah, that would be so easy... forget land minds and rc cars, just send these into Afghanistan and have it blow up troops from right under their feet ; )
If I was in a disaster site and suddenly confronted by robotic eels, I think that it might make the situation seem worse... unless they came equipped with a shot or two of brandy each, that would be acceptable.
@crystallinentity Yeah, my very first comment WAS supposed to be a joke, I'm glad to receive so much feedback though.
But seriously, don't underestimate military science, it can be right under your nose!
@Eniacbc Lol, you're a moron. Do you really think that thing would crawl through sand the same way with a bomb attatched to it?? Why do you think it's shaped like this? LMAO!!!! And no, there's not enough room to put a real explosive on the inside. And if there was a bigger one with the room, whats the point? To attack your enemy from underground while moving at the blistering speed of 0.5 KPH? LOL. He'd take one step and be another 5 mintues away. Yeah, you're definitely the scientist here bro.
@crystallinentity You're no a scientist are you? With... straps? Wires, ropes, a belt, glue, bubble gum, anything! You can even put it INSIDE the robot! Now that's a great idea huh!
"This robot could be used to explore disaster sites" They say that about every new robot that comes out. I really doubt that the millions of dollars that is spent on robotic research is just so we can find bodies after earthquakes...
