    yeah dhchemistry didnt you know detuning a piano makes the song more sad? While he's at it he needs to hit the gain on his preamp more, that way he really saturates the power amp section, he should look into new pickups, maybe some EMG's. That'd fix it for sure!

    The octave that the piece is in doesn't have any effect on how happy it sounds. As a matter of fact, he seems to be playing the vocal, guitar, and bass parts all in the same octave as the recording on Opiate.

    aww c'mon pull hammers would be natural to make come across on piano, as would all the pull off's on bass in the intro, and the talkbox solo would be super easy yah man I'd agree having never played piano
