@Mrdabu2 Both brilliant makes of camera with many many years of investment and experience, nothing between them really, if there was then when you went to the Olympics (I have been to 5 as a pro) you would only see one make of camera but you see a pretty even split, there is no way either are bad that is for sure.

If you are shooting a wedding in a dark church then you need a D700 (or a D3) Simple.

I use a D90 as a back up and picked up a battery grip for 60 bucks, I think the D7000 is the best camera for the money. The D90 replaced mY D200 .

@red12dirt i think that distance between what appears semi professional and expert is little now. d7000 is all we all need. go to... freedslr . com remove spaces and take an opportunity to bring home a new Nikon D7000

@Visualantis "I wish I had a videocamera at hand".. Well, if the infamous tiger jumps on you and eats your arms I wonder how could you hand the camera then :P

This video is about gadget geekery not photography. If you don't appreciate the D700's viewfinder then why do you need a pro camera?

@delonge5000 Not everyone that wants to make an informed decision before spending a good amount of money on a product is a "consumerist sheep". Also, while it's true that the person matters more than the camera, having a nice camera has it's own advantages. Your idealized depiction of two people is silly and depicts reality in rare cases. Photographs are not just right place, right time. Art is usually the picture itself and not just the event depicted, which takes careful planning.
