Brought this D70 about 5 years ago, full price. I must say, it was worth it! Nikon never fail to impress me, and this camera is just AMAZING! ♥Sunday 05 February 2012 15:05:46

@ElliotGuthriePhoto Totally agreed. This is much more durable and much more professional than the canon. This is so professional and has such great features in the picture viewer than some do. There are many possibilities with this camera. And 6.1mp isn't horrible, it's pretty low but if you're just doing basic pictures, you're set! Mine was 450 on ebay with the body, 18-70 lens + hood and cap, 70-300 quantaray lens + hood and cap, one battery and charger, and two 512mb CF cards. Great Deal!!!!Sunday 06 November 2011 18:02:58

@kodoku7otaku i was worried about the screen too but it is actaully very good and you can zoom in on the images. the thing feels better than the 350d that I was going to get. Get a D70s if you can afford it as it has a slightly larger screen and a cable release port, the screen does not sound much bigger but it is noticible.Saturday 05 November 2011 02:04:19

@ElliotGuthriePhoto
Sorry about the first message! :P
You got a nice find there. I'm looking to buy a D70 as well.
2079 is sweet. But the D70 is known to be a 'tank' when it comes to durability. I've heard people getting 150,000+ actuations without having to service anything.
It would be great if you could tell me how the 1.8 inch screen fairs when you need to review images for their focus. (taking some small DOF images at a large aperture).
Have a nice day! :)Friday 04 November 2011 17:39:43

@kodoku7otaku the one i got the flash was broken off and the screen was broken, but you could still take images with it but it stopped working and i threw it out. i now have a D70s for £157 and with only 2079 actuations :-)Friday 04 November 2011 17:30:05

@elliot4009
You're being hyperbolic. There is no way you got a usable D70s on eBay for that price.
They go easily for £100. Stop gassing man. Friday 04 November 2011 09:52:57

@bjoran83 I can vouch for that one anytime anywhere. That camera has 0 flaws and for 6.1 mp those pics are clear! I've done christmas cards for families before and done pictures for them and man they come out GREAT!Monday 17 October 2011 19:45:53

The d70 is still a great camera to shoot with. I have a d90, but my girlfriend has a d70 and we get great pictures from both! Some people on the internet complain about the lack of warmth in the d70 pics, but thats because they dont understand how to tweak the whitebalance settings. Learn that and you can take great shots! The biggest downside is the noise in lower light settings, thats when my d90 really outperforms the d70. But most of the time, the d70 is a great camera and real fun to use.Saturday 15 October 2011 08:24:28

@NikonandCanon96 Hey, it's me again. And I need your help>Actually I'm considering buying a used D70 from a guy I know.
Q1> What is the thing that you like most and the thing you hate most in this cam?
Q2> The guy used the cam pretty much in his studio, so are you aware of any problem that comes with this cam after heavy use?
Q3> If you were to choose between this one and the rebel XS (Canon 1000D) which one would you pick?Monday 23 May 2011 16:40:35

@NikonandCanon96 Hey your a smart guy. Thanks for the reply. Successful people start early :). I wish my young brother would have been as intelligent as you. By the way your review is good, and the best for the D70. The problem is that this is a bit old camera, so once video reviews on YT started nobody was very into reviewing this one, though it's a veryyy good cam.Monday 23 May 2011 16:35:11

@VideoDocR Yes indeed and if you have a problem with it, good luck finding another D70 review that covers everything I did. I'm sorry being a kid is such a problem, obviously I'm stupid and don't know anything and just txt and facebook all day.Monday 23 May 2011 15:35:06
