This is a three-dimensional trip into a giant "mountain" of cool hydrogen and dust in the Carina Nebula, a vast star-forming region in our Milky Way Galaxy. The nebula is too far away for Hubble Space Telescope to see in true three dimensions. But this visualization creates foreground and background elements based on an approximation of how the region might be distributed in a 3-D volume. A virtual camera flies through this synthesized space to create a 3-D effect.

@messageofthemaker well, if all of the conditions are right, there is a clear source of sunlight, above and below the tempature of 32F (0C) oxygen, water, carbon, all the amino acids and all the other elements needed, and a moon type object, then yes. it could.

I wonder if it is possible for life to exist on a planet located in a nebulous cloud like in Halo Reach, putting aside that reach is a terraformed planet? Would it be possible if the gas and dust from the clouds may actually heat up the planets surface and atmosphere, allowing it to be in the habitable zone?

@1998Sniper There is no greater use of Money then exploration in that way lies the future everything of today is the exploration of yesterday - the fire extinguisher would not exist with out Nasa, nor heat retardant materials... there is no greater purpose for mankind then to discover the face of god in the HIggs bosen's original burst... and hear god say - "some one please shut that sarah palin crank up..." LOL
