Melbourne's always been in the shadow of Sydney when it comes to landmark architecture. But that's all changing as Charlie Luxton discovers when he explores the amazing Federation Square as well as hip hotels and beautiful bars.

Back from my visit, noiser and more crowded than before, hard to find a western style restaurant in downtown, many Asian tourists now all catering for them; still like the town even though it has changed so much since I was last there in 2001; the art centre is fantastic!
Stiil my country and my favourite city in Australia!
