    Don't know why companies like to mislead people buy making them think that there are three different types of flat tv's. There isn't a LED tv. LED is the light source behind the screen, just like CCFL bulb behind most LCD screens. So I guess I need to stop saying I have a LCD tv and just say I have a CCFL tv.

Sony's marketing machine was all "we're going to take back our market position by progressing the fastest with OLED and releasing tv's sooner than anyone else" -- t hey released a 27" or so that cost 25,000$+, and to no one's surprise no one bought it, so they stopped production. they did not however stop RnD on the large-sized OLED displays.

    yeaa..LED TV is actually LCD TV with LED backlight..just that ppl usually just call it LED..there's OLED though..though it has'nt been used for TV..only for phones :)
