@dms0087 i actually heard that plasma is the way to go with gaming, since they have no lag in them.

ok I will explain, LCD is for GAMING LED is for watching movies and Plasma is Home theather which is 90% for MOVIE not gaming you can use for any but that's best for movie and sound I have LCD because I don really watch Movie just play HD gaming well that's my thoughs so..my answer is if you play games then you must buy HD 1080P LCD

Hi, would really love a reply from you regarding this...... Is motion blur really an issue with LCD at smaller sizes like 32" or can you only really notice it in bigger LCD screens? (Regardless of refresh rate)

My LCD Blacks are the color of the actual panel. But..I agree when it get's dark you may want a plasma. Both are great, I personally like both but if you want a good TV you're going to be over 3,000. No way around that(unless you're cheap) Also, my TV has a higher HZ than 120^^

In a normal environment I would go with a plasma. In a bright environment I would go with a lcd with a ips display.

£700 for a Samsung 46" 1080p 100Hz LCD. This is good enough for me I think. =D Theres so many factors to consider it gets quite hard to compare sometimes. Luckily I have the advantage of being 'young' and can help my parents with this stuff.

No mention of viewing angles? That's an important thing to consider; plasmas typically have a much better viewing angle.
