did anyone else recently click the top one and get something wierd?
1: Mine didn't prompt to install, I just extracted and it seems to work fine.
2: When I started mine up it had a weird menu thing that had stuff like tutorials and news updates for eclipse (along with workbench which basically gets me to the same place)
I understand this tutorial is a little old, it's just that I want to make sure I got the right thing.
@SAMisFlagged ... if you have the folder Program Files(x86) u probably have 64bit, so download the jdk1.7 (SEVEN!, your one says u had 1.6) 64bit and into the enviorment(what was the place in the first tutorial). For the first box write Path and for second write: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_02\bin
If you download the latest ver, this is how yours should look.
@SAMisFlagged Have you downloaded the correct files? If you have 64 bit Windows then get Java X64. If you have 32 bit Windows then get X86. To find out what Bit your Windows is right click Computer and click on properties. It should say there. Hope it help you out. :)
@ravenrana The reason why Eclipse need the JDK/JRE is to have a compiler for your programs. You can see that when you downloaded Eclipse you don't need to install it unlike other IDEs.
@ravenrana You have to download the JDK or the JRE. Here is the link to the download site oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html. You just have to choose one, I'm using JDK 6.0. It is better to have the latest version.
@zanepepper 5 second s of his time to save 20 seconds or more of our time.the site changed and finding the download was realy hard please don't call names for I haven't use swears. I am loosing patience. This is also a way to improve video quality so I am helping him.He also has few videos with download so its 2 minutes to help everyone.
If I was lazy I wouldn't reply to your futile comments.Let me point out that being top comment is realy hard you are not the first to say these things
Hye I have a problem, after I downloaded Eclipse and extracted it, I get a error saying that a JRE or JKD must be acailable to run eclipse. Can you help me out please cause I need this for a class.
@FullyAutoMutilator I am just saying you are being a lazy asshole. By your math that is 10 seconds per a person, the total time is irreverent because it does not affect one person by the total time.
