not really but good enough :) flemish is just one of our many dialects, officially our language is called dutch. it is true that we often say flemish (or vlaams in dutch) to our dutch, and hollands to that of the netherlands, but in reality both are called dutch.
flemish = southern dutch
hollands = northern dutch
dutch comes from diets, diets means 'people of the low countries'... and belgium is nothing more than the latin term for netherlands.

In the Netherlands we speak dutch, but in Belgium they have a different accent and sometimes they use different words even we dutch don't understand. That's why they won't call the language dutch, but flemish
