Maps are always orientated so that when the map is open, the top of the map is going to be north, while the bottom of the map will be south. Look for a legend on a map to assist in the navigation process with help from a travel agent in this free video on international travel tips and preparation.

@nubsobil, right...how funny that you would not only stereotype 300 million people but all the hundreds of millions in Europe, also. If you don't know what a national education is then thinking that your education is somehow superior is usually just a sign of ignorance. To understand American education systems you have to look into what American values are. That's why, for example, you think geography is important and Americans know how to use a computer...
