I would probably buy one on amazon cheaply instead of making homemade one because of the quality differences. But I would make a telescope myself just for fun or decoration to show friends and family.
This is really creative. Good job. You could paint it black to prevent light you dont want to come in. And going to a dark place, because even if you have a professional telescope you wont see anything in the city. With a laser you could try to locate the focus point and then invent a mechanism to focus on objects. You see everything upside down because the loop does that. You cant fix it, even proffesional telescopes have it.
