With David Tennant having taken his final journey as nation's favourite Time Lord, here are some more classic regeneration clips from the Doctor's previous incarnations. The 21st March 1981 saw Tom Baker's near-seven year reign as the Fourth Doctor come to an end when having fallen from the gantry of a radio telescope he merged with the mysterious Watcher. Why do "people" commenting on something as harmless as a clip from a child friendly sci-fi series such as Doctor Who, have to be so rude, I always think swearing of that kind is padding for idiots who cannot think of a more intelligent way of talking!

The saddest moment of a young boys life was when Tom baker regenerated. I remember freaking out I could not believe it. In the states I never saw the other doctors so I didn't know about the regenerations. I think I even cried. I could never get into Peter Davidson. I have come back lately though and I like Eccleston, and Tennent somewhat, but I really dig Rose she is so beautiful and hot.

I remember all that stuff about "The Watcher was The Doctor all the time" making no sense back then when it was first shown, and to be honest it makes even less sense now. I agree with the comment that this is the best looking regeneration of the classic era though, he almost glows in the way a regeneration looks nowadays.

9 absorbed the time vortex to save rose, 10 took the energy of the nuclear bolt and 4 fell off a radio tower. How embarasing. He should of said "Crud, I was saving that regeneration!"
