Full info: http://www.exosphere3d.com/pubwww/pages/project_gallery/cactus_1549_hudson_river.html This animation is based on all currently available data concerning the US Airways Flight 1549 crash landing on the Hudson River (Cactus 1549). Satellite imagery, elevation models and robust GIS mapping methods are utilized to create a vegetation model, terrain model and ground clutter (3D buildings). Of all available audio tracks, only two are used, La Guardia Tower and New York TRACON Departure controller position. Radar data as well as the onboard Flight Data Recorder are utilized in constructing the flightpath of the aircraft.

@tonytor53 It's called the American Public Education System.. It creates ignorant individuals that are completely alienated from the world around them..they actually love not to know things and they brag about that very often.

Minor error on video at .43 seconds, it relates Zulu time as being 15:34 and local time as 3:25 which mean the same thing. Actually Zulu time (Greenwich Mean Time) is 5-6 hours ahead of EST (Eastern Standard Time, the local time). Zulu, or Greenwich Mean Time, is accurately time coded in top right of screen as 20:24:54 (8:24 pm GMT)

This Captain´s action, alived us of theese reminds of the past, In which planes with problems had no solution, and aerial circunstances never ended as we wanted. Thanks, Chesley Sullenberger.

What I admire the most is the calmness and confidence in the Captains voice while he is talking to F/O and atc at the same time. "unable... We'll be in the Hudson." If Im not mistaken another aircraft had to reasure atc "he said he'll be in the Hudson" lol! Big high five to both pilots!

Aside from the obvious miracle that happened, Did you notice that the controller called the plane everything from 1549 to 1539 to 1529... The stress creeping into to a highly stressful event.
