Hey whats up everybody I bought a new digital and been experimenting around with it. I'm just an Amateur so if u don't like the video then just leave, but if u have and tips or compliments then I would appreciate it.

The first set of pics (the snow pics) where taken at Pine Mountain above Ojai, California.
The light trail pics where taken in front of my house, and then the sunsets and Downtown pics where taken at Grant Part in Ventura, California.

Oh I should tell u that the digital camera I bought is a Canon PowerShot SD790, its a Point and Shoot camera, NOT A DSLR.

if you wanna automaticly to trigger the shutter for time-lapse photography, you can also use a mechanical intervalometer for all cameras like this one tempusALL. bymac.org

turn it on, put in manual mode, push the button in the middle of the spin button, push the display button, the you have it just push left or right on the spinning button to adjust shutter speed, message or reply if u need more detail. ;)

LOL, no the Sd790is is a fine little toy but I'm hungry for more. I'm saving my pennies for some real video equipment. But for something compact, the G10 is the way to go. The MIII G10 is not just for advanced amateurs any more. The professionals carry them around everywhere. I might glue mine to my hand for a while.

Hehe, well if you're completely satisfied with it, then there is no reason for you to switch to D-Slr. Good luck with your new camera and good luck taking pictures ;)

I believe its called the G10. My next digital camera purchase. I like using a small lens for macro shots I also like these cell phones shots getting better and better but an SD790 is so easy to carry around!

The SD790 is good enough with the 10mp. The only thing it lacks is a real aperture and detachable lenses and a faster processor(unless you don't want RAw files then its almost fast enough). The Cannon G10 is 14 mp and compact enough... ,it's fast, sexy, flexible, you can use multiple lenses or mount to a telescope for astro-photos, spying, ect...

Hey. First, you have very good photos ;) Good sense of what to snap and when to press the shutter. Seeing as you're a bit more experienced photographer, why don't you try switching to a DSLR once ? Compact cameras have many bad features, and a photographer can't always do what he wants. If you'll have money that you won't need, you might want to think of buying a DSLR And a tripod :P If you have a motorway near your town, go there and take a pic of moving cars, like at 8 o'clock. Good luck ! ;)

I do very much like these photographs, the music is very good too. As for tips, I agree with fyrprince, take your time, make the photos something that truly represents the full vista you're seeing. I don't know what kind of exposure times you had with the light trails, 1-3 seconds perhaps, and I do think they are very good. However, if you want to get brighter trails invest in a tripod and try longer exposure times. It'll be well worth the wait. Keep up to excellent work! You're quite good :D

TIP---Very nice video and pictures. I'm guessing you were in the car at 30-50 mph? If you see a good view of something, take some time to make it perfect or as such. Get out of the car, and take the picture! I'm not being judgemental, im just saying take time to make the picture worth seeing. anyways AWESOME PICS! =P
