    You serious? I just recieved a VW Polo that I'm 100% sure havent been changed the fuel filter on for 199750km (In other words, so and say never. As far as the past car owners can remember.)

    Also if you run your tank under a 1/4 tank of gas your fuel pump can overheat which also contributes to fuel pump failure

    Thanks God I have my rsx and just changed it myself !!depend on cars I guess cu if u gotta drop the tank for that that sucks ..that y honda is the best

    600 - 700 DOLLARS?!?!?! Are you effing kidding me or are you serious? because man a fuel pump job only runs maybe about 2 to 300 dollars depending on car and labor quit fucking screwing people

    my car starts up fine and for tha most part it drives fine, but i noticed when im doin 40mph or more tha car starts to hesitate a lil bit when i give it gas, but when i down shift to go faster tha engine seems perfectly fine n tha car speeds up normally, its just when im at a steady speed, like i sais 40mph and more, could this be a fuel pump or maybe sumthin is clogged in tha engine, air take? throttle body? or what?

    @FancyGapClawhammer TRUE! I just got a new EGR valve put on my Ford Explorer that was stalling & rough idle, & now it runs great with no stalling or rough idle, and much more power too!

    Check the EGR valve..that's usually one of the main causes of a rough running car. The throttle plate may even be dirty with crap all around it, not letting the engine breathe. Those are the two things I'd check and from what I've seen and fixed, they were normally the causes, unless there was bad wires or plugs. And that's another thing, if you changed plugs, did you change wires too?

    i have a 1998 camry 6cyl , it has 98k on it. it was running fine , then one day it started running ruff. i changed plugs and it still runs very ruff and has no power. now it seems to run fine for about a minute while cold or when i first start it , for a minute. then it runs ruff and has no power after a minute or so. very difficult problem here.

    i love gl subaru 85-94 fuel pumps are right by the tank dont need to pull tank out ! and for sending unit , the top unbolts to an opening in the truck! for older subarus the fuel pump is under the hood!

    So would a car bogging out at 4000 rpms and then wont go past 4000 rpms after it bogs? Would the fuel pump be a possible problem?

    im guessing the distributer wires, plugs, or a short circuit probably caused by the battery cables. i have the same modal year car.

    i have a 1995 chevy pickup 5.7L and it makes a rapid knocking sound followed by a churping and grinding sound, also, it smells like a gas leakage, and when slightly pushing the gas, it sounds like it's losing power, even when i accelerate. that's a bad fuel pump, right. some of the things he mentioned in this video is exactly what im experiencing. i know i also have to change the spark plugs and maybe the distributer wires.

    replacing mine myself tomorrow. taking the bed off of my truck instead of the fuel tank out. theres like 4 or 6 bolts.. nothing to it
