@kcin228 I agree with Nathanaels... The most under rated lens in the line up is the 18-55mm lens... If you stop listening to people rant about it's build quality and the rotating tip, the absence of a focusing ring... and give this lens a fair chance... this lens will give you very good images. a very good starter lens i tell you... way better than the 18-135mm canon and even the 18-200mm canon lens in terms of image quality...
@kcin228 A good starter lens is the 18-55mm. It is what you would start out with to learn the basics. For a lower price, you could get a 50mm f1.8 For around $120, it delivers some spectacular images!
I want to get a new Rebel T2i, but I was told you need to use lenses to get a top quality image. As a new video maker what are some of the basic lenses I'd need to shoot a video? Obviously there are many answers for hundreds of different shot styles. In a generalistic way, what are some good lenses to use to get a great move quality image?
I SO want a t2i or 60d but my parents (who are lending me the camera for my minor in photography) use a nikon camera and we can't replace it because we already have so many nikon lenses it would take forever (and a lot of money) to replace them all with canon compatibles.
any accessory recommendations? I'm looking into adding a flash to my T2i, plus a off-camera flash, and a microphone for interviews. Which you guys recommend?
