sometimes, simplicity is the best way to go. and imo, this song is one of the best songs of the century.

If the artist's interpertation/intent of a song was the only way to experience music, there would be a lot less people buying music. Music (for me, at least) is about being able to identify with it; if that takes being able to interpret the lyrics in your own way, then that's fine by me :)
