Having challenged scientists to explain why he is gay, actor and TV presenter John Barrowman nervously awaits the results of a brain scan which reveal whether he is sexually attracted to men or women. @107109 Not really. (Most) people are straight because predominantly we are programmed to be in order to continue the species. Homosexuality is an anomaly, if every member of a species was gay it would die out.

If someone told me that, after 30-some years of knowing I was gay, they had scientific proof that I was straight, I would have had a heart attack. Kudos to him for not falling to the floor right away!

I respect your opinion but sorry to tell you I differ with you ... About "his critics simply transfer their hate toward him for who he is" you are wrong his gender have nothing to do with it I don't hate him, I like him.. I was simply saying to show him woman pictures not lesbians so he could see.. I pick my friends for they have in their heart, they sexual preferences don't bother me. @marniemiami I think that was said in humour, and that you are looking for an excuse to hate. Hate, is of course, a dogma for Fundamentalists, just as ignorance is one of their dogmas. But hate and malice are hallmarks of Fundamentalism. The Barrowman tests are small compared to the ones at the Brain Institute and Karloliniska in Sweden and the extensive fMRI tests done in China. But Barrowman himself knows his gender, and his critics simply transfer their hate toward him for who he is.

@allsaintsmonastery I agree, but personally I think we should never use God as an excuse to hate. Jesus taught people to love one another. I'm christian and I honestly couldn't care less about your sexual orientation. That alone doesn't define you as a person. No single belief defines you as a person. I think that this world needs to understand that everyone has different beliefs and you just have to live with that whether or not you necessarily agree with them.

@marniemiami dude have you ever HEARD of the Kinsey scale? Few people in the world are actually totally straight or gay. Most of us are a little of both, just more of one than the other. John is probably bisexual. but that is academic given that he is in a commited monogamous relationship with a guy he loves. I don't think anyone would want to spend 16 years having sex with someone of their own sex if they were STRAIGHT. If he has any doubts, I certainly don't!

For this test they show him lesbian woman ?? Show him sexy girls with sexy bikinis and sexy underwear and you will see the difference in the test results !!! Look at his face when he said " he was so frighten that he was straight " deep inside he has his doubts that he is just gay. Have John ever had any sexual relation with a woman ?? I saw how he kisses the ladies and I saw attraction in his eyes and the kissing !! Great kisser. I love him either way.

@ron2013 We do, and we do: help poor people, and we take in street people in the winter. However, doing good deeds not not free us from the guilt of having persecuted people with false accusations and from primeval fears. We do need to rectify that, try to take Christianity out of the persecution business.
