@megpots it has nothing to do with Ur tranny. It's just your kick down linkage. Look down by the tranny where the linkage connects. There is an adjustment skrew that shiffted out of place. Easy breezy fix :b

Hi, I am having an issue with a TH350 trans , I was driving with no issues , then at low speeds in fist gear (low) the trans it ticking . Sounds like a rocker came off the motor . This only happens in Low , once it shifts to 2nd , no noise and none in 3rd . The ticking raises in speed as the truck does , only in low . If I shift to neutral , the noise goes away , even if rev'd ,soon as I put it in low noise is back . Cold the noise is not there ? Thanks B.

not sure if anybody can help me, but i have a manual tranny and im not sure if this is a transmission problem but i have a clicking noise that is speed dependent when i am in neutral and coasting ive turned my car off and coasted and its still clicks and on it still clicks, i push the clutch in and it still clicks and let off the clutch and it still clicks the only time seems to be in neutral though i dont think i can hear while in gear and nothing is stuck in my tires.

I have an Honda Passport 2000, sometimes when I shift the car to "D", the indicator in the dashboard is either on "P", or the light is off. Then, I shut the car off and after several tries the light on the dashboard indicator is lit and the letters on the dashboard and the shifting handle, match. There is not burning smell, no leaks and the transmission shifts smoothly. Whe there is a mismatch between tha dashboard and the shifting gear, there is a thud when it changes to the 2nd gear.

@rite4lyf ....So far so good! Thank goodness! But I guess if anything suddenly comes up...that 3 year warranty we purchased with the motor for an extra $300.00 will be useless. But until then we are keeping our fingers crossed! Good Luck with your situation with this company!

I just installed a used transmission in my 1995 ford ranger,it went in the truck fine, but when I start it and put it into gear the transmission wont engage into any gear. What could be the problem?

Can someone help me? I've got an automatic gearbox and it does run in every gear, and never slips, it sounds like its shifting properly but when I accelerate I can't feel the power, just feels really weak under acceleration, if I put my foot right to the floor it'll take 2secs to kick in and my car will be flying.. Any less than full throttle and I can't feel any push, anybody else have this problem?

@QUESTI0NSnANSWERS damn..this is more complicated than i thought :/ i hope i find i good and honest mechanic who's not gonna try to rip me off lol but you mentioned something about unplugging the TCC, how would i know if the mechanic did that or not if i dont even know where the TCC is?

  • QUESTI0NSnANSWERS

@iamthegame06 The pressure may be low due to a hydraulic problem such as TCC solenoid is plugged. The TCC control valve may be stuck or you may just have a mechanical failure of the converter. Either or ist not a cheap fix.

  • QUESTI0NSnANSWERS

@iamthegame06 It looks like your TCC (torque converter CLUTCH) is engaging or dragging possibly due to low trans pressures and is causing it to stall out just like a manual trans at a stop light would with the clutch engaged. You should take your vehicle to a professional shop and have them diagnose it correctly. In some models you can unplug the TCC and you will operate only at 90% efficiency. This will seem like the problem has been fixed, just make sure the shop doesnt do that.

  • QUESTI0NSnANSWERS

@iamthegame06 The TCC responds to transmission pressure and if pressure is to low it can cause the TCC to engage or drag. Think of a manual transmission. When you are at a stop light you need to push in the clutch peddal or the car will do what? Stall right. The TCC works the same way. In normal opperation the TCC is not engaged until you reach cruising speed which takes allows the Torque Converter to go from 90% efficient to 100% efficient, hence better fuel economy emissions and cruise.

  • QUESTI0NSnANSWERS

@iamthegame06 Yeah to be honest with you it really sounds like it could be your torque converter. The torque converter is a device that is used to transfer the power of the engine to the transmission and eventually to the wheels. Torque converters use 3 primary components, the pump, the turbine and the stator. Another primary device in other type of torque converters is the TCC or Torque Converter Clutch. The purpose of the TCC is to create better emmissions, fuel economy and cruising speed.

@QUESTI0NSnANSWERS yes sir, it's an automatic..and also i figured out exactly when my car would stall on me, it happens when im going really slow, say like around 10mph or less then i stop thats when it stalls :/ i've went to different mechanics and they told me different reasons of why this could be happening, one told me it could be a worn or loose bands, a blockage somewhere in the valve body, and one guy even told me to change the tranny! so idk whos telling the truth.. :/
