Adobo-How do you explain your new found fame and such to your kids, do you tell them that your dad is a big rock star now?

AP-With my 19 year old, I'm telling him this is just a job and I want you to work very hard like I di in the past, so you can have your own acheivments. Make your own name. I don't want anyone to say that my son road my coattails. I tell him I will do my best to help you in any way with your work ethic, I think that's important and I'll support you.

Adobo-Do you feel lucky, there are a lot of talented singers out there but they didn't get that lucky break, what was it about you? Was it luck, an act of GOD, your time spent in the music business?

AP-It's a combination of all that, luck, hard work, blessings from above.

Adobo-Hey Arnel, what do you say to those who say that you're not Steve Perry? Why should I like Arnel, he isn't white. Do they say that really, are you offended?

AP-You know I'm not offended. Because I'm a really big fan of Journey.

Adobo-Have you met Steve Perry?

AP-No I haven't yet.

Adobo-What would your reaction be?

AP-I think I would be starstruck then, because I want his autograph too.(laughing)

Adobo-Speaking of bandmates and management, do they have requests of your style, looks, your hair, your clothes, and your english?

AP-All of that, and especially the english. The accent, yes. It's getting better.

Adobo-Tell us about the CD.

AP-Yeah the album is out June 3, exclusively at Wal-Mart. So you friends out there, support.

Adobo-What songs will be on it? Old songs, new songs?

AP-It's a mix. 1 album is all the greatest hits, 11 songs. And then the next CD, the 2nd CD, is all brand new songs, 11 of them. So you're going to hear 2 classes of songs with me Arnel. ( I think this means 1 album is- back to the past, and the 2nd is- into the future)

Adobo-Do you really try that hard to match the voice that is Steve Perry, or do you do your own natural voice? Whats the story there?

AP-I point out that you hear my natural voice really but, I have to live up to expectations and the legacy that they are trying to keep.

Adobo-For us, at least the Filipino community, we are so proud of what you have done. You have exceeded expectations and we are proud, so proud of what you have done.
