Part 1 to my 2nd Sudoku explanation, by request. Let me know if this vid turned out better than my last one. This one is also available in High Def. Just click HD
@MellowCruisin when I'm stuck, I'm not really stuck. I think of it more like needing just one number before the others fill in really quickly. So the first thing I start with to start my train of thought over is saying "One, one, one...one, one......" basically finding all the ones in the puzzle. then the twos, and so on. That seems to always clue me up to something I may have missed. If I have ALL my pairs and that still didn't help, THEN I'll start counting rows and columns.

@fmdges Lol. your last line made me chuckle. Actually, if you scroll through my videos (past bathroom reno's) I have another puzzle that I have done. I am literally repeating the same steps over and over at the appropriate times. You will have to start with easy puzzles, then, and come to the same problems I do until you understand why I do what I do. In the past I have offered to help people with a puzzle they're stuck on.
ok , please do another video, and keep repeating your tricks and your " very lucky " things. and as for me, the answer is no-someone new to sudoku can not do what you do by just following one of your videos,as there is so much to learn and remember, and most importnat apply to a puzzle. So, you are very helpful; and if you have time, knowing that you are busy doing home renovations:), please do another video. and last, if I fly you up to NYC will you tutor me? just kidding!
I have managed to solve a bunch of these Extreme Sudoku puzzles since I last posted here. The key is to learn concepts like hidden pairs, naked pairs, x-wing, etc. Sometimes when I come to a 50/50 decision, I try to do it as much as I can in my head, and if I hit a dead route with one number, I'll know the other # is the answer. Extreme Sudoku is so much fun, I don't bother with the regular puzzles anymore. Don't be discouraged, and good luck! =)
i tried it 3 times and got pissed off. i'll try it again later, but as of now it's too irritating =) i've been downloading tons of free sudoku aps on my iphone though. fun stuff
Nice job Misskity. We are pretty much on the same wavelength in regards to the steps involved (especially when you solved the 6's in the lower left corner) but, there is one way in which we differ, you have bigger balls than me in regards to using a pen to solve your puzzles. I erase WAY to many times. Again, nice job!
See if you can solve the "Extreme" puzzle for 6/20/2009. I have added only 5 numbers and am stuck (again). These are much harder than Yahoo's Daily Sudoku or USA's Daily Sudoku.
